Here are a few tips for how to prepare your home for showings.

Today I’m sharing just a few tips for preparing your house for showings.

For the exterior of your home, remove hoses and any other tripping hazards, sweep your front porch, and remember that your curb appeal is crucial. If you have a pool, you should skim it and be cognizant of the fact that backyard living is extremely desirable here in Arizona, so ensure your backyard is inviting.

Inside your home, open all the windows and blinds, replace any burned-out light bulbs, and turn on all the lights. You should declutter all your countertops because they’re buying your home, not your personal items. Make all the beds, and remove personal photos and wall clutter.

“Curb appeal is crucial.”

When it’s time for showings, leave your home (even if you just take a long walk) so the buyers have some privacy. You only get one chance to make a first impression.
